Visigoths in Valencian territory

Vitrina 161
The Visigoths divided the territory in bishoprics and cities around places of worship, creating significant urban changes. Bishoprics established in Valencia, Xativa, Denia, Elche and Elda, where churches and monasteries, fortifications, noble villas and other rural settlements were built, shaping the landscape of late antiquity and the early Middle Ages in Valencia.
